Liputan6.com, Jakarta The capital of India's Bihar State, Patna, was rocked again by the murder of a notorious gangster, Chandan Mishra, on Thursday (July 17). Mishra, who was on parole on medical grounds, was shot dead by five unidentified assailants while being treated at Paras Hospital in Patna.
The gunmen managed to breach security and reach room number 209 on the second floor of the hospital, where Chandan Mishra was being treated. The gruesome incident was captured on CCTV cameras, where the group of shooters was seen walking fearlessly, as reported by The Daily Jagran.
After killing Chandan Mishra, they escaped with ease.

Chandan Mishra, son of Mantu Mishra, is a resident of Sonbarsa Village, which falls under the jurisdiction of the Buxar Police Station. He is serving a life imprisonment sentence in a murder case.
Several severe cases were filed against him. In the past, the people of the Buxar district lived under the terror of Mishra.
Chandan Mishra was also named in the Rajendra Kesari murder case, which took place 14 years ago on the main road of Amla Toli, Buxar.
On August 21, 2011, Rajendra Kesari, owner of the Bhojpur Chuna Bhandar shop, was shot dead in broad daylight on Buxar's main road.
Rajendra was opening the door of his shop when the miscreants opened fire on him.
In this case, Rajendra's family filed a suit against Chandan Mishra, Omkarnath Singh alias Sheru Singh, Surendra Mishra alias Chhotu Mishra, suspended police officer Deenbandhu Singh, and several others.
This incident was the first significant action in the criminal lives of Chandan Mishra and Sheru. This case made Chandan Mishra a famous gangster. Omkarnath Singh alias Sheru Singh, another accused in the case, and Mishra also became famous for their acts of terror.
The two then committed several crimes together. They had killed a well-known businessman in Buxar on charges of extortion.
