WWE superstar Brock Lesnar made a surprising return to fans at SummerSlam 2025 after a two-year absence, amidst the shadow of Janel Grant's lawsuit that named him.

Liputan6.com, Jakarta Professional wrestler and former mixed martial artist Brock Lesnar shocked the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) world with his unexpected appearance at SummerSlam 2025.

"The Beast Incarnate's" return came after nearly two years of absence from WWE programming, sparking speculation among fans and wrestling observers.

Lesnar's sudden appearance occurred at the climax of SummerSlam, shortly after Cody Rhodes defeated John Cena to capture the Undisputed WWE Championship.

Lesnar immediately entered the ring and delivered his signature F5 on John Cena, leaving a lasting impression before the event ended.

Brock Lesnar's return was a major highlight, given that he had been absent from WWE television since SummerSlam 2023 and was implicated in a federal lawsuit filed by former WWE employee Janel Grant against Vince McMahon and WWE.

This situation added to the complexity surrounding the return of one of the wrestling industry's biggest stars.

The Beast Returns to the WWE Ring

Brock Lesnar made a major splash with his appearance at SummerSlam 2025, marking the end of his hiatus from WWE.

This appearance was highly anticipated, especially after he hadn't been seen on WWE programming since his bout against Cody Rhodes at SummerSlam 2023.

Lesnar's return came at the end of the main event, where he faced John Cena, who had just lost his title match.

Without hesitation, Lesnar delivered his trademark F5, confirming his return to WWE's biggest stage.

Brock Lesnar was originally scheduled to return at Royal Rumble 2024, but those plans were canceled at the last minute.

This cancellation was due to allegations raised in Janel Grant's lawsuit, and his name was even removed from the WWE 2K24 video game.

How's The Verdict?

Brock Lesnar's return to WWE is not without the shadow of a lawsuit involving him.

He is named in a federal lawsuit filed by Janel Grant, a former WWE employee, against Vince McMahon and the WWE company itself.

The initial lawsuit, filed on January 25, 2024, did not directly name Brock Lesnar, but instead referred to him as a "world-renowned athlete and former UFC Heavyweight Champion."

However, on January 31, 2025, Janel Grant's legal team filed an amended lawsuit, explicitly and formally naming Brock Lesnar as the athlete in question.

While Brock Lesnar is not named as a defendant in the lawsuit, the document alleges that Vince McMahon solicited Grant to Lesnar for sexual purposes in 2021.

Grant also claims that McMahon asked her to create personalized sexual content for Lesnar in July 2021, in an effort to keep Lesnar under contract with WWE.

There are also allegations that McMahon flew Lesnar to Connecticut for an arranged sexual encounter with Grant, although the encounter did not occur as originally planned.

After the lawsuit became public, WWE decided not to use Lesnar on its programming, a decision reportedly made by the company's legal team.

Vince McMahon himself has repeatedly denied the allegations in Grant's lawsuit, calling the revised lawsuit a "publicity stunt" and a "desperate sham."
