Liputan6.com, Jakarta Kelley Mack, talented actress best known for her roles as Addy on the popular series "The Walking Dead" and Penelope Jacobs on "Chicago Med," has passed away at the young age of 33. 

Kelley Mack passed away on Saturday, August 2, 2025, in her hometown of Cincinnati, Ohio.

Kelley Mack's cause of death was glioma, a type of tumor that affects the central nervous system. 

Gliomas form when glial cells, which support the nerves and central nervous system, grow uncontrollably. 

The announcement of Kelley Mack's passing was made by her sister, Kathryn, via Kelley's personal Instagram account and confirmed through an official announcement on the CaringBridge platform.

 

A memorial and tribute event to commemorate Kelley's life will be held in Glendale, Ohio, on August 16, followed by a further celebration of life in Los Angeles at a later date.


Kelley Mack's Cause of Death and Funeral Announcement

Kelley Mack died of glioma, a tumor that originates from glial cells in the brain or spinal cord. 

This disease was the primary cause of her sudden death at the age of 33. 

Despite battling the disease, Kelley Mack finally succumbed to it on Saturday, August 2, 2025.

The sad news of Kelley Mack's passing was first shared by her sister, Kathryn, in a heartfelt post on Instagram. 

An official announcement was also published on CaringBridge, containing an emotional message from the family. 

The family also shared that Kelley Mack passed away peacefully, surrounded by her mother, Kristen, and aunt, Karen.


Kelley Mack's Brilliant Career Path in the World of Acting

Kelley Mack, whose full name is Kelley Lynne Klebenow, was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, on January 10, 1992. 

She began her acting career at a young age, appearing in various commercials. 

Her film debut was "The Elephant Garden" in 2008, for which she won the Acting Award from the Tisch School of the Arts for her role as Chloe. 

The film also earned the Student Visionary Award at the Tribeca Film Festival.

Kelley Mack's best-known role is as Addy, a resident of the Hilltop Colony, in five episodes of the ninth season of "The Walking Dead" from 2018 to 2019. 

She also appeared in the medical series "Chicago Med" in 2022 as Penelope Jacobs, and had a guest role on "9-1-1" in 2019. 

Kelley Mack has also starred in several other films, including "Broadcast Signal Intrusion" (2021), "Mr. Manhattan," "Shot in the Dark" (2021), "Simón" (2019), "Violet" (2019), and "Profile" (2018).

Besides movies, she is also active as a voice actor, even providing the voiceover for Hailee Steinfeld in "Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse" (2018) and a commercial for the 2024 Hyundai Ioniq. 

Behind the scenes, Kelley is also a successful producer, producing the horror film "A Knock at the Door" which is now available on Shudder and won the Jury Choice Award at the Atlanta Horror Film Festival.

Kelley Mack graduated from Hinsdale Central High School in 2010 and then went on to study at Dodge College of Film at Chapman University, where she earned a bachelor's degree in cinematography in 2014. 

In her personal life, Kelley Mack is the daughter of Kristen and Lindsay Klebenow. 

She has two younger brothers, including actor Parker Mack, and a sister named Kathryn.

 Kelley is also known to be in a relationship with Logan Lanier, and last January, she revealed that she had moved into a new apartment with him. 

Her grandparents, Lois and Larry Klebenow, are also important parts of her life.
