Fox Sports says, “We are deeply grateful to the medical team for their exceptional care and support. Our thoughts and prayers are with Mark, and we ask that everyone please respect his and his family’s privacy during this time.”

How the Stabbing Incident Happened

The incident involving Mark Sanchez occurred around 12:30 a.m. on October 4, 2025.

It happened near West Washington Street and Senate Avenue, a popular nightlife district in downtown Indianapolis.

Sanchez, 38, was immediately rushed to the hospital for medical treatment and was reported to be in stable condition despite sustaining serious stab wounds.

The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department released a statement Saturday morning.

However, while recovering, Sanchez was also being arrested by authorities, according to TMZ.

The charges against him include battery with injury, unlawful entry of a motor vehicle, and public intoxication.

Details of the Arguing and Police Investigation

The IMPD confirmed that the incident was a physical altercation involving two adult males.

The two individuals were not identified as local residents, adding to the mystery surrounding the incident.

One of the men reportedly suffered a cut, while the other, identified as Mark Sanchez, suffered a stab wound.

Police believe this incident was an isolated incident between the two men, not a random act of violence targeting the public.

Loughmiller’s bartender Carrie Swan told The Post her manager Scott Bennett tended to Sanchez when he found the ex-Jet bleeding outside the pub.

“The manager brought him in and started putting towels on the wound,” she said.
