Interesting Facts
The BBC confirmed the production of "The Celebrity Traitors" in August 2024, along with the order for two additional series of the original "The Traitors."
Kalpna Patel-Knight, the BBC's head of entertainment, expressed her enthusiasm, stating that this celebrity version would elevate the series to new heights.
However, host Claudia Winkleman initially had reservations about the celebrity version.
"When they came to me and said they wanted to do a celebrity version, I said, 'Oh I don't think we should do that, I like just doing it non-celeb'," said host Claudia Winkleman at the show's launch, only half joking.
She wanted to keep the show exclusive and "small" to avoid losing its essence.
However, she later expressed her honor and awe at the celebrities' passionate performances in the Scottish Highlands.
Regarding the stars' participation, the BBC has confirmed that each celebrity will receive a payment.
They will be paid a flat fee of £40,000 for their appearance in the series.
