Starring actress Morena Baccarin as Deputy Sheriff Mickey Fox, Sheriff Country centers on law enforcement in the small town of Edgewater.
In addition to dealing with various crimes, Mickey must also contend with complex personal issues, including her ex-convict father and a mysterious incident involving her daughter.
This premiere will be followed by a regular Friday schedule at 8:00 PM ET/PT starting October 24, 2025.
In addition to broadcast television, the series will also be available for streaming to Paramount+ subscribers.
Sheriff Country Story and Main Characters
Sheriff Country's main plot centers on Deputy Sheriff Mickey Fox, played by Morena Baccarin.
She is tasked with investigating criminal activity in Edgewater, a seemingly quiet small town that harbors many secrets.

Connection with 'Fire Country' Series
Sheriff Country is the first spin-off of the successful series 'Fire Country.'
The character of Mickey Fox was first introduced in the 'Fire Country' episode "Alert the Sheriff," where she is portrayed as an Edgewater County sheriff's sergeant and half-sister of Cal Fire division chief Sharon Leone.
The series was created by Matt Lopez, who also serves as showrunner and executive producer.
Production for Sheriff Country was handled by Jerry Bruckheimer Television and CBS Studios, with executive producers including Max Thieriot, Tony Phelan, Joan Rater, Jerry Bruckheimer, and KristieAnne Reed.
Development for the spin-off began on January 23, 2024, and CBS gave the series a straight-to-series order on May 2, 2024.
Production began in May 2025 in the Toronto, Canada area.
This location choice differed from 'Fire Country', which filmed in Vancouver, to allow Morena Baccarin to be closer to her family in New York.
The first teaser trailer for Sheriff Country was released in August 2025.
