Liputan6.com, Jakarta Recently, there has been some news circulating regarding the death of the legendary Bollywood actor, Dharmendra on November 11.

However, this information was quickly denied by his family members, including his daughter Esha Deol and his wife Hema Malini.

In fact, the family member confirmed that the actor was in stable condition and undergoing medical treatment.

Dharmendra, widely known as Bollywood's "He-Man," was admitted to Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai for shortness of breath.

However, his condition was reportedly improving and he was responding positively to treatment.

Dharmendra's family has publicly criticized the spread of fake news and urged the media and fans to respect his privacy during this time of recovery.


Dharmendra's Death Report Clarified by Family

His daughter, Esha Deol, confirmed that her father was in stable condition and recovering at Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai.

The team of his son, Sunny Deol, also issued an official statement to reassure the public.

They asked the public not to spread false rumors about Dharmendra's health and to respect the family's privacy.

The family stated that he is “stable and under observation” and asked everyone to pray for his speedy recovery while respecting their privacy.

Dharmendra's wife, Hema Malini, also spoke out and strongly condemned the news outlets for spreading false information.

She called the act "unforgivable" and "utterly irresponsible," considering that Dharmendra was responding well to treatment.

On October 31 Dharmendra was hospitalised for his routine check-up.

His team had stated to Hindustan Times, "There is absolutely no cause for concern.The actor is in good health and visits the hospital often for routine medical tests, which is the reason for his current stay. It seems that someone spotted him there, which has led to a frenzy among his fans, but there is nothing to worry about as he is absolutely fine."

Dharmendra Kewal Krishan Deol was born on December 8, 1935, in Nasrali, a village in the Ludhiana district of Punjab, India.

His real name was Dharam Singh Deol, and he came from a prominent Punjabi Jat family.

His father, Kewal Krishan, was a school principal, and his mother, Satwant Kaur.

He completed his matriculation in Phagwara in 1952, under the auspices of Panjab University, Chandigarh.

Dharmendra later became widely known by his stage name and became one of the icons of Hindi cinema.

The nickname "He-Man" of Bollywood stuck with him thanks to his powerful physical appearance and captivating charisma on screen.


Dharmendra's Brilliant Career

Dharmendra's acting career began in 1960 with his debut in the film "Dil Bhi Tera Hum Bhi Tere."

Since then, he has starred in over 300 films across six decades in the film industry.

Some of his iconic films that are still remembered today include "Sholay" (1975), "Phool Aur Patthar" (1966), "Seeta Aur Geeta" (1972), "Chupke Chupke" (1975), and "Haqeeqat" (1964).

In 1997, he was awarded the Filmfare Lifetime Achievement Award, recognizing his long and accomplished career.

The ultimate recognition came in 2012 when the Government of India awarded him the Padma Bhushan, India's third-highest civilian honor.
