Caroline Flack's Career in Entertainment

Caroline Louise Flack, born November 9, 1979, is a well-known and beloved British television presenter.

From a young age, Caroline showed a keen talent and interest in dance and theater, honing her skills at the Bodywork Company in Cambridge.

Her career in entertainment began in 2002 as an actress on the comedy sketch show "Bo' Selecta!"

She then branched out into presenting, hosting various shows such as "International Pepsi Chart Show," "TMi," and "Big Brother's Big Mouth."

Caroline Flack's fame peaked when she co-presented "The Xtra Factor" and won "Strictly Come Dancing" in 2014.

However, it was her role as the presenter of "Love Island" that resonated most, transforming the show into one of ITV's most popular shows.

Caroline Flack also served as the main presenter of "The X Factor" and was nominated for Best Television Presenter at the National Television Awards four years in a row.

She even made her West End stage debut as Roxie Hart in the musical "Chicago" in 2018.

Personal Struggles and Controversy

Behind her career, Caroline Flack faced a long struggle with mental health, including suicide attempts and self-harm.

She was known to struggle with the criticism that came with fame, an aspect highlighted by TV producer Anna Blue.

She briefly published her autobiography, "Storm in a C-Cup," which was later updated to cover her struggles with anxiety.

In December 2019, Caroline Flack was charged with assault following an incident with her boyfriend, Lewis Burton.

In a video recorded on her phone three days after her arrest, an emotional Flack — seen with smudged eye make-up and dishevelled hair — says: “I’m doing this because I want to remember what I went through, what my family went through, what my boyfriend went through, what his family went through.”

This incident led to her stepping down from her role on "Love Island," a decision widely criticized.

Although Lewis Burton did not support the prosecution, the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) decided to proceed with the case.

Her family and manager criticized this decision, stating that Caroline was treated unfairly because of her public status, until she was found dead on February 15, 2020, from an apparent suicide.
