He revealed that he suffered a stroke in 2024 while performing at Tyler, the Creator's Camp Flog Gnaw festival in Los Angeles on November 22, 2025.

This serious health condition forced Glover to cancel his tour and undergo a series of medical treatments.
This confession also explains the reason behind the cancellation of his postponed "New World Tour."
Glover had previously only mentioned "illness" and the need to "focus on his health," without providing specific details, but it has now been revealed to be a stroke.
According to an AP News report, Glover explained that a doctor diagnosed him after he experienced a severe headache during a show in Louisiana.
Medical Travel and Other Complications
“I was doing this world tour,” he said.
“I was having lots of fun, really loving seeing you guys out there.
“I had a really bad pain in my head in Louisiana and I did the show anyway. I couldn’t really see well, so when we went to Houston, I went to the hospital and the doctor was like, ‘You had a stroke.’
Glover detailed the initial symptoms he experienced: a severe headache during the show in Louisiana.
Despite his impaired vision, he managed to finish the show.
Afterward, he immediately sought medical attention at a Houston hospital and doctors diagnosed him with a stroke.
However, further examination revealed another, equally serious health issue.
Doctors discovered a "hole in his heart."
In addition to the stroke and heart problems, Glover also suffered a broken leg.
Recovery and Tour Cancellation
To address his various health issues, Donald Glover underwent two surgeries.
One of these surgeries was to repair a hole in his heart.
The post-surgery recovery process required time and dedicated attention from the medical team.
