Liputan6.com, Jakarta Xiaomi HyperOS 3, the third-generation operating system from tech giant Xiaomi, has been officially launched and is ready to take the user experience to the next level.

Based on Android 16 with native Android 15 support, HyperOS 3 is designed to offer deeper personalization, enhanced security, and more responsive performance.

The rollout of HyperOS 3 will be gradual, starting in the Chinese market before expanding to global markets.

The first public beta version was introduced on August 28, 2025, with the announcement of a stable release schedule for China on September 19, 2025, by Zhang Guoquan, Director of Xiaomi's Mobile Software Department.

The official release date for the global market is set for September 24, 2025, at which time Xiaomi will announce the global rollout schedule and list of compatible devices.

Global and China Launch Schedule

The Xiaomi HyperOS 3 rollout will take place in several phases, ensuring every device receives the update optimally.

In China, the stable update began in mid-October 2025, covering devices like the Xiaomi 15 Ultra and Redmi K80 Pro.

Subsequent phases will continue through December 2025 and January 2026, covering various Xiaomi, Redmi, and even MIX Fold models.

For the global market, the HyperOS 3 update is expected to begin shipping gradually between October and November 2025.

Devices like the Xiaomi 15T Pro and Redmi Note 14 Pro+ 5G will be the first to receive this update.

The rollout will continue until early 2026, covering a variety of phones, tablets, TVs, and wearable devices.

Power Efficiency Improvements and User Interface

Xiaomi HyperOS 3 comes with significant performance improvements, making the system faster and more responsive.

The system is built on HyperCore technology, which is claimed to save phone power usage by up to 10% and reduce CPU load by up to 4%, providing a more efficient user experience.

Furthermore, the frame loss rate is claimed to be reduced by up to 18.9%, meaning UI animations will feel much smoother.

One of its key features is the new, cleaner and more customizable Widget View, allowing users to organize important information directly on their home screen.

The Liquid Glass UI design is also introduced, providing transparent icons with an elegant, glass-like glossy effect.

This design update also includes revamped status bar icons and symbols, with the addition of iOS-style elements for a premium feel.

The new Artistic Lock Screen allows for in-depth customization, including AI-generated wallpapers, live effects, and cinematic mode.

From smooth transitions to sharp graphic details, HyperOS 3 is designed to be pleasing to the eye.

This enhanced visual experience is one of the key highlights of Xiaomi's latest operating system.

Deep AI Integration for Intelligent Experiences

One of the key pillars of Xiaomi HyperOS 3 is its deep integration of artificial intelligence (AI), aimed at enhancing creativity and everyday productivity.

The Screen Circle feature, similar to Google's Circle to Search, allows users to circle a section of the screen to instantly access related information.

This is especially useful for quick searches without having to switch apps.In the photography space, Super AI Photo Editing is a new photo editing tool in the Gallery app.

Users can verbally describe their desired edits to the Xiao Ai assistant, which will then make adjustments automatically.

Other AI features include Auto Notes, Visual and Text Content Explainer, and Instant Voice Translation, all designed to simplify various tasks.

Gemini integration is also a highlight, allowing users to ask questions about anything in sight, share their camera or screen in Gemini Live chats, and take actions across Xiaomi and Google apps.

Cross-Ecosystem Connectivity and Data Security

Xiaomi HyperOS 3 strengthens cross-device and ecosystem connectivity, introducing features that simplify interactions between products.

Xiaomi Super Island (HyperIsland) is an interactive notification feature similar to Apple's Dynamic Island, now with tighter integration with third-party apps.

The operating system also offers exceptional cross-ecosystem device integration, including the ability to share photos, videos, files, and Wi-Fi passwords with Apple devices.

Call, SMS, and messaging app notifications can be synchronized between Xiaomi and Apple devices, and file sharing and media viewing between Xiaomi phones and Macs is made easier.

On the privacy and security front, HyperOS 3 comes with enhanced data security enhancements.

These include quantum-level data protection with post-quantum encryption and edge-to-cloud AI data security with on-device and cloud privacy computing.

MiTEE-based security protocols and cross-device biometric unlocking for the entire ecosystem further ensure the security of user data.
