The Galaxy Z TriFold is designed to prioritize portability, performance, and productivity, with a display that unfolds into a tablet-sized canvas.
“Samsung’s relentless pursuit of new possibilities continues to shape the future of mobile experiences,” said TM Roh, Chief Executive Officer, President and Head of Device eXperience (DX) Division at Samsung Electronics.
“Through years of innovation in foldable form factors, Galaxy Z TriFold solves one of the mobile industry’s longest-standing challenges — delivering the perfect balance between portability, premium performance and productivity all in one device. Galaxy Z TriFold now expands the boundaries of what’s possible for mobile work, creativity and connection.”
Introduction and Innovative Design
The Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold introduces a revolutionary inward-folding design, where both sides of the device fold toward the center.
Samsung also includes on-screen instructions and haptic feedback, ensuring users can fold the device correctly and avoid mistakes.
The device is equipped with the latest generation Armor FlexHinge titanium hinge, which consists of two differently sized hinges that work synergistically with a dual-rail structure.
This meticulous design allows the Galaxy Z TriFold to be thinner and lighter.
When folded, the Galaxy Z TriFold is only 12.9 mm thick, making it significantly slimmer than its predecessors, the Galaxy Z Fold 5.
When fully unfolded, the thinnest part of the device measures 3.9 mm, while the middle section with the outer display is 4.2 mm, and the third section with the fingerprint sensor is 4.0 mm.
Performance and Productivity
Productivity on the Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold is significantly enhanced thanks to an experience tailored to the 10-inch main display.
This display is the largest ever on a Galaxy phone, providing users with ample workspace.
When unfolded, the TriFold display functions like three 6.5-inch smartphones combined, enabling more efficient multitasking.
Users can run three portrait-sized apps side by side, resize apps in multi-window view, or watch content in full-screen mode.
This flexibility also allows the device to be held vertically for an immersive reading experience.
In addition, Samsung has included standalone Samsung DeX, which allows the Galaxy Z TriFold to support up to four workspaces with five apps running simultaneously.
Samsung's built-in apps have been optimized for the larger display, as has Google Gemini Live integration, bringing generative AI capabilities directly to the device.

On the front, there are two 10MP selfie cameras, one on the cover screen and one on the main screen.
The 5,600mAh triple-cell battery, the largest Samsung has ever used in a foldable phone, supports 45W wired fast charging (about 50% in 30 minutes) and 15W fast wireless charging.
The device runs Android 16 with One UI 8, has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, an IP48 rating for dust and water resistance, and is available in "Crafted Black" with an Advanced Armor Aluminum frame.
Global Pricing and Availability
The Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold is competitively priced for the premium foldable phone segment.
In South Korea, the device is estimated to be priced at around 3.59 million won, equivalent to approximately $2,500.
This price is lower than previous rumors of around 4 million won or $2,720, indicating a more aggressive pricing strategy from Samsung.
In Singapore, the device will be available for approximately S$3,170.
The Galaxy Z TriFold is expected to go on sale in South Korea on December 12, 2025.
The rollout will then expand to other markets such as China, Taiwan, Singapore, and the United Arab Emirates before the end of December 2025.
The United States will follow in the first quarter of 2026, between January and March.
Samsung reportedly plans to produce between 20,000 and 30,000 units.
