The four-episode series, which premiered on December 2, 2025, immediately drew public attention and sparked a sharp response from Combs's side.

The documentary was directed by Alex Stapleton and executive produced by rapper Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson.

"Sean Combs: The Reckoning" features never-before-seen material, including exclusive interviews with those closest to Combs, delving into his rise and fall.

However, Diddy and his legal team have strongly criticized the series, calling it a "shameful hit" and accusing Netflix of using unauthorized footage.

They also claim that 50 Cent's "personal vendetta" influenced the documentary's narrative.

Stapleton asserted that all footage used in the documentary was "completely legally obtained" and that her team had the necessary rights to use it.
