Their daughter, Romy, was the first to discover her parents' bodies.

The Los Angeles Fire Department responded to a medical emergency call at 3:38 p.m. PST, but the Reiners could not be saved.
On December 15, Los Angeles police announced the identification of a suspect in the murder case.
Nick Reiner, Rob Reiner's 32-year-old son, is being held without bail and charged with the murders of his parents.
The case will soon be presented to the Los Angeles County District Attorney, adding to the long list of tragedies involving Hollywood celebrities.
“It is with profound sorrow that we announce the tragic passing of Michele and Rob Reiner. We are heartbroken by this sudden loss, and we ask for privacy during this unbelievably difficult time,” his family said in a statement.

According to sources, Rob and Nick Reiner got into an argument Saturday night at a holiday party they were attending.
At the party, Nick was seen acting strangely, the source added.
