This incident drew attention not only because of Payal Gaming's popularity, but also because of the strong suspicion that the video was manipulated by deepfake technology.
A similar case happened some time ago, when a "19-minute viral video" was falsely attributed to content creator Sweet Zannat, who later clarified that the video was not hers.
Deepfake Allegations of the Viral Video
In 2025, Payal Dhare's name rose to prominence after a personal video of her went viral but her numerous fans came to her defense and debunked the deepfake, as reported by Bollywood Shaadis.
To date, Payal has not commented on the matter. Judging by her Instagram Stories, she appears to be in Dubai.
The spread of a video allegedly involving Payal Gaming immediately sparked mixed reactions from her fans and tech experts.
Many, including Payal Gaming's loyal fanbase, believe the video is a deepfake generated by artificial intelligence (AI).
One user on X wrote: “I’m not even a fan, but this doesn’t look real. Using AI videos to ruin someone’s image for views is disgusting (sic)."
Another user said: “People need to understand how easy it is to create deepfake videos now. Dragging Payal Gaming’s name into this without proof is wrong (sic)."
