Liputan6.com, Jakarta - A provocative art installation featuring a giant replica of a birthday card, allegedly from Donald Trump to Jeffrey Epstein, now stands proudly on the National Mall in Washington, D.C.
The installation has garnered widespread attention and reignited discussions about the controversial relationship between U.S. President Donald Trump and convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

The exhibition aims to pressure the government to release files related to Epstein that are still being held by the public.
The 10-foot (approximately 3 meters) tall and 12-foot (approximately 3.6 meters) wide replica of the card was strategically placed directly across from the U.S. Capitol.
The installation coincides with the eve of Jeffrey Epstein's birthday on January 20.
Details of Donald Trump's Controversial Art Installation
This sensational art installation is the work of an anonymous group calling themselves "The Secret Handshake," as reported by CNN.
The group is widely known for a series of previous protest artworks that have openly criticized the president.
One side of the giant card replica displays the words "Happy birthday to a 'terrific guy!'"—a message particularly meaningful given Epstein's reputation.
The messages include phrases such as "We have certain things in common, Jeffrey," and "A pal is a wonderful thing. Happy Birthday—and may every day be another wonderful secret."
The message is signed by "Donald" and printed with "Donald J. Trump," along with a graphic sketch of a woman's body.
Donald Trump's Denial
The birthday message replicated in this installation is believed to have come from a "birthday book" compiled for Jeffrey Epstein's 50th birthday in 2003, reportedly compiled by Ghislaine Maxwell.
The existence of this message first came to public attention in July 2025, when The Wall Street Journal reported in detail on a graphic message allegedly given by Donald Trump to Epstein.
The report sparked a wave of debate and speculation among the public and media. In response to the report, Donald Trump vehemently denied writing the letter or creating the drawing.
He called it a "fake thing" and stated that he had "never written a drawing in my life."
Previous Protest Art by 'The Secret Handshake'
Before the now-concerned birthday card replica, the group "The Secret Handshake" had also created another protest art installation that garnered public attention.
In September 2025, the group installed a bronze sculpture titled "Best Friends Forever" on the National Mall.
The sculpture depicted Donald Trump and Jeffrey Epstein holding hands and jumping up and down, a symbolic representation of their alleged closeness.
The "Best Friends Forever" installation was briefly removed by the U.S. Park Police for alleged permit violations.
