Liputan6.com, Jakarta - Sensational singer Chappell Roan once again captured the public's attention and became the center of attention at the 68th Grammy Awards on Sunday, February 1, 2026.

Her appearance on the red carpet at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles became the talk of the town thanks to her bold and provocative fashion choices.

Chappell Roan is known for never being afraid to stand out and always manages to create unforgettable moments with every performance.

At the prestigious awards ceremony, Chappell Roan appeared in a sheer maroon Mugler gown, designed specifically to give the impression of being topless or naked, while the gown was literally held up by her nipple piercings.

Her performance immediately became "an eye-catching moment" and "equally theatrical, provocative, and unmistakably true to his brand."

Chappell Roan was not only a guest, but also a presenter and a nominee in two important categories. He was nominated for Record of the Year and Best Pop Solo Performance for his single "The Subway."

A Sensational Transparent Mugler Gown

Chappell Roan arrived on the red carpet in a wrap that covered her body, which was then theatrically removed to reveal a shocking transparent gown.

The custom maroon Mugler gown was made of layers of sheer chiffon, creating a dramatic topless illusion.

The design was similar to the transparent, nipple-accented creation previously featured in the Mugler Spring 2026 runway show.

The sheer back of the gown also revealed a matching thong, adding a bold touch to the look.

To complement her unique style, Chappell Roan adorned her body with a collection of intricate tattoos drawn across her chest, midsection, shoulders, and back.

Some sources also mentioned a nude-colored "second skin" layer with optical illusion tattoo designs underneath the sheer gown, further enhancing the boldness of her outfit.

“I’m very modest when it comes to my day-to-day"

In a 2025 episode of "Call Her Daddy," Roan discussed the differences between her real-life wardrobe and the outfits she's worn on stage over the years.

“I’m very modest when it comes to my day-to-day [dressing],” she said in the interview.

“I used to dress fucking crazy. Before all of this happened and I had energy and light in my eyes, I would literally just wear my thong out, mini skirt, bottom ass cheeks out, nipples see through. I dressed really, really, bimbo-y. I would wear silicone breast inserts to make my boobs come up to my fcking clavicle. [But] I just lost my shine because it became a job, and then I was like, ‘I’m fucking tired.’”

Chappell Roan on the Grammy Stage

Chappell Roan is no stranger to the Grammy stage.

She had already made a name for himself, winning the Best New Artist award at the 2025 Grammy Awards.

At the 2026 Grammys, in addition to presenting, she also shone again with nominations for Record of the Year and Best Pop Solo Performance for her single "The Subway."

Chappell Roan has a reputation for standout Grammy looks; at the 2025 Grammys, she wore a Jean Paul Gaultier gown inspired by Edgar Degas's ballerina paintings.

She is also known for her bold and campy fashion style which always manages to capture attention and leave a lasting impression.
