Liputan6.com, Jakarta - The popular comedy-drama series "High Potential" has been renewed for a second season, premiered on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, on ABC.

With an increased episode count of 18, this latest season promises more intrigue, mystery, and in-depth character development of lead actress Kaitlin Olson, who plays Morgan Gillory.

Viewers can enjoy Morgan Gillory's new adventures solving complex criminal cases.

New episodes of High Potential Season 2 will be available to stream on Hulu the day after they air on ABC.

Premiere Schedule and Episode Increase

The renewal for High Potential Season 2 was confirmed in January 2025, bringing exciting news for fans.

The second season premieres on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, at 9:00 PM ET on ABC.

The second season will feature a total of 18 episodes, a significant increase from the 13 episodes in the first season.

The increased number of episodes is also related to the busy schedule of Kaitlin Olson, the series' lead actress.

Each new episode of High Potential Season 2 will air every Tuesday on ABC.

New Episode Release

The second season of "High Potential" will is on hiatus, but return with new episodes for its second half on January 6, 2026, at 9:00 PM ET, after a two-month hiatus.

After the 12th episode airing on February 3, 2026, the series will enter another hiatus.

The 13th episode, titled "In the Driver's Seat," is scheduled to air on March 3, 2026.

This step was taken to avoid release crash with the Winter Olympics 2026 in Milano Cortina.

The Olympics was broadcasted by NBC.

 

Casts and New Characters

Most of the main cast from the first season will return for High Potential Season 2.

Kaitlin Olson will return as Morgan Gillory, along with Daniel Sunjata as Adam Karadec and Judy Reyes as Selena Soto.

Javicia Leslie as Daphne Forrester, Deniz Akdeniz as Lev "Oz" Ozdil, Amirah J as Ava Gillory, and Matthew Lamb as Elliot Radovic will also return.

The second season will introduce an exciting new face, Steve Howey.

He joins the regular cast as Captain Nick Wagner, who is expected to change the dynamics within the LAPD.

Additionally, Mekhi Phifer will appear in a recurring guest role, playing a character involved in a major crime.

Recurring characters like Taran Killam (Ludo Radovic) and Garret Dillahunt (Lieutenant Melon) are also expected to return.

New Storyline and Dynamics

The storyline of High Potential Season 2 will deepen, continuing the mystery of the "Game Maker" that threatens Morgan's family.

Viewers will also be treated to the continuation of the disappearance of Roman, Morgan's ex, who is still alive.

This season will also explore Morgan's personal life and relationships further.

The arrival of Captain Nick Wagner will bring significant changes to the dynamics of the investigative team.
