Liputan6.com, Jakarta - Metallica has officially announced an eight-show residency titled "Metallica: Life Burns Faster — Live at Sphere" in Las Vegas.

The highly anticipated residency is scheduled to take place throughout October 2026.

This will be a historic moment for Metallica, as they will be the first heavy metal band to perform at the Sphere, a venue with the world's most advanced immersive technology.

With eight dates spread across four weekends, fans will have a unique opportunity to experience Metallica in a format never seen before.

The "Life Burns Faster" residency will offer not only an explosive setlist but also a stunning visual and audio experience, taking full advantage of the Sphere's capabilities.

The "No Repeat Weekend" concept, which the band successfully implemented on their M72 world tour, will also return.

Metallica's Unique Show Concep and Schedule

Metallica's residency at the Sphere Las Vegas will feature eight shows spread across four weekends in October 2026.

The confirmed dates are October 1st and 3rd, October 15th and 17th, October 22nd and 24th, and October 29th and 31st, 2026.

The "No Repeat Weekend" concept will be the main attraction of the residency.

This means no songs will be repeated between the Thursday and Saturday shows on each weekend.

This strategy allows fans attending both shows on the same weekend to enjoy a completely different setlist each night, including favorites and rare tracks from Metallica's extensive catalog.

Immersive Experience at Sphere Las Vegas

Metallica will make history as the first heavy metal band to perform at the Sphere, a venue renowned for its revolutionary immersive technology.

The Sphere features the world's highest-resolution LED screens that envelop the audience, Sphere Immersive Sound, which delivers crystal-clear audio to every corner, and 4D multi-sensory technology that will elevate the Metallica concert experience to an unprecedented level.

Drummer Lars Ulrich revealed that he was inspired to perform at the Sphere after watching U2 perform on the venue's opening night.

He called it "completely uncharted territory" and an opportunity to "reinvent how we interact with our fans in a live setting."

Guitarist Kirk Hammett also previously expressed interest in performing at the futuristic venue in April 2025.

The residency is produced by Live Nation and presented by inKind.

Ticket Purchase and Exclusive Packages

General ticket sales for Metallica's residency at the Sphere will begin on March 6 at 10 a.m. Pacific Time (PT).

However, various pre-sales will be available earlier to give fans a chance to secure tickets.

The Fan Club pre-sales will begin on March 2, followed by the Ticketmaster pre-sales on March 3.
