Stardew Valley Update 1.7 announced a new marriage, Clint and Sandy, as well as improvements to child and family interactions.

Liputan6.com, Jakarta - Stardew Valley creator, Eric Barone, also known as ConcernedApe, has just announced a major update, version 1.7, due in February 2026, coinciding with the game's 10th anniversary celebrations.

While an exact release date has not been announced, Barone has teased several exciting upcoming features, promising a richer and more interactive gaming experience.

This update include new romance options and significant improvements to the game's family dynamics.

This announcement follows the highly successful 1.6 update, which was released for PC in March 2024 and for consoles and mobile in November 2024.

A New, Anticipated Romance Option in Stardew Valley 1.7

One of the most exciting features in the Stardew Valley 1.7 update is the addition of two new marriageable characters: Clint and Sandy.

Clint, the local blacksmith in Pelican Town, and Sandy, the owner of the Oasis shop in the Calico Desert, will now be marriage candidates for players to pursue.

The addition of Clint and Sandy as romance options has long been a request from the fan community.

Players now have the opportunity to explore new stories and interactions with Clint, known for his quiet demeanor, and the more mysterious Sandy.

Improved Family and Child Interactions

In addition to the romance options, the 1.7 update will also introduce changes that will make children in Stardew Valley "a little more interesting" and "more engaging" with new interaction opportunities.

This is a response to player feedback seeking a more dynamic and meaningful family life in the game.

These changes aim to enrich content related to family life, making the role of parents more interactive and enjoyable.

Players can look forward to new ways to interact with their children, making the family experience on the farm more lively.

These improvements demonstrate ConcernedApe's commitment to continuously developing the life simulation aspect of Stardew Valley, beyond simply managing a farm.

More Surprises from ConcernedApe

ConcernedApe has hinted that the Stardew Valley 1.7 update will include many other things players haven't yet requested, promising plenty of surprises.

Previous update patterns have shown that ConcernedApe often introduces unexpected features, such as the new tools and items introduced in version 1.6.

This has created high anticipation among fans for what else the 1.7 update will offer.

The previous 1.6 update, released for PC on March 19, 2024, and for consoles and mobile on November 4, 2024, brought a variety of new features and led to a significant increase in player count, reaching a new concurrent player record on Steam of over 235,000 users.
