"Backrooms" marks the feature-length directorial debut of Kane Parsons, widely known as "Kane Pixels" on YouTube.

With a lineup of renowned producers including James Wan and Shawn Levy, this A24 film is expected to be one of the most anticipated horror shows of the year.

The story of "Backrooms" itself is based on a popular internet creepypasta about a vast, infinite extradimensional space, resembling an empty office or storage room lit by harsh neon lights and dominated by yellow.

The space feels devoid of human life, yet inhabited by an unseen entity that creates the feeling of being watched or followed.

A24's film aims to capture the essence of this liminal horror, creating an unsettling and frightening atmosphere without relying on traditional jump scares.
