Ruby Rose, now 40, revealed shocking details about the alleged abuse in a series of posts on the social media platform Threads.

The allegations emerged in response to a Complex Music post discussing Katy Perry's reaction to Justin Bieber's performance at Coachella.
The claims quickly went viral, drawing public attention to the pasts of both celebrities.
Katy Perry's representatives quickly responded, strongly denying all of Ruby Rose's allegations, saying the claims dangerous and reckless lies.
Allegations and Incident
Ruby Rose's sexual assault allegations against Katy Perry first surfaced on Sunday night, April 12, 2026.
Rose used her Threads account to write, “Katy Perry sexual assaulted me at spice market nightclub in Melbourne. Who gives a shit what she thinks."
Rose then provided further details about the alleged incident.
She claimed it happened at the Spice Market nightclub in Melbourne, Australia, when she was in her early 20s.
Rose explained that she was "resting" on her best friend's lap to avoid Perry, when Perry bent over and performed an indecent act.
The actress described how Katy Perry "bent over, pulled her underwear aside, and rubbed her disgusting vagina on my face until my eyes opened and I vomited on her."
Rose also added that she had previously shared the incident publicly, but turned it into a "funny little drunk story" because she didn't know how to handle it at the time.
Additionally, Rose stated that Katy Perry later agreed to help her obtain a US visa, which is why she kept the incident a secret for nearly two decades.
Katy Perry's Firm Denial
In response to Ruby Rose's serious allegations, Katy Perry's representatives immediately issued an official statement.
They categorically denied all of the claims, calling them "not only categorically false, but also dangerous and reckless lies."
They noted that Rose "has a well-documented history of making serious public accusations on social media against various individuals."

Ruby Rose's Further Response and Potential Legal Action
Despite making serious allegations, Ruby Rose stated that she had "no interest in filing a formal report" regarding the incident.
“I’m now 40. It has taken almost 2 decades to say this publicly. Though I am so grateful to have made it long enough to find my voice, it just shows how much of an impact trauma and sexual assault takes. Thank you for seeing me.”
Rose also noted she’s “not interested in filing a report” about the incident and explained: “You don’t need people to believe you, you just need to get it out of your poor body, before it gives you cancer.”
