Liputan6.com, Jakarta - Lindsie Chrisley, best known as the former star of the reality show “Chrisley Knows Best” and a podcaster, returned to the public spotlight after being arrested on Sunday, May 24, 2026.

The arrest happened in Cherokee County, Georgia, on charges of driving under the influence (DUI) and a series of other traffic violations.

This incident adds to the long list of legal issues facing the Chrisley family.

Chrisley was booked into the Cherokee County Jail the same day after being arrested around 2:00 a.m. local time.

She was released a few hours later, around 4:30 a.m., after posting $5,961 bail.

The arrest drew attention because Lindsie Chrisley plans to fight all charges against her, as reported by TMZ.

Details of Lindsie Chrisley's Arrest and Charges

Lindsie Chrisley faces several serious charges following her arrest in Georgia.

This include Driving Under the Influence (DUI), Attempting to Elude, Reckless Driving, Improper Passing, and Speeding.

The charge of "Attempting to Elude" in Georgia refers to a driver failing or refusing to stop or attempting to flee from a pursuing police vehicle after being given a visual or audible signal to stop.

Because this charge is filed alongside DUI and reckless driving, it is highly likely that "Attempting to Elude" will be considered a felony, rather than a misdemeanor, given the potential danger posed.

Chrisley herself has given a statement to TMZ, explaining that her arrest occurred while attempting to pass a car on a two-lane road.

"I got pulled over speeding past a car on a two lane road because they almost hit an animal and I was trying to miss hitting them and whatever the animal was."

She says she was booked and immediately released and adds she plans to fight the charge.

The Chrisley Family's Series of Legal Troubles

Lindsie Chrisley's arrest is not the Chrisley family's first run-in with the law.

This incident happened just weeks after her ex-boyfriend, David Landsman, was arrested in April 2026 on charges of aggravated assault and battery.

Previously, Lindsie and Landsman had filed temporary protective orders (TPOs) against each other, indicating conflict in their relationship.

In early May 2026, the two agreed to a "mutual no-contact order" that was in effect until May 6, 2027.

This order required them to maintain a distance of 500 yards from each other, including from their respective homes and workplaces.

This situation further complicated the personal issues Lindsie Chrisley faced amidst her current legal battle.

Lindsie's parents, Todd and Julie Chrisley, also have a history of significant legal troubles.

They were convicted in 2022 on charges of bank fraud and tax evasion, which resulted in prison sentences.

However, in May 2025, Todd and Julie Chrisley received presidential pardons from President Trump and were released from federal prison, ending their sentences early.
