Halo: Campaign Evolved was officially announced on June 7, 2026, as part of the highly anticipated Xbox Games Showcase 2026.

The game is scheduled for a global release on July 28, 2026.
However, players who choose the Premium or Collector's Edition will receive five days of early access, allowing them to begin missions starting July 23, 2026.
The Remake of Halo Combat Evolved
Halo: Campaign Evolved is a remake of the campaign of Halo: Combat Evolved, the original title that launched the Halo franchise in 2001.
The redevelopment, conducted using Unreal Engine 5, promises significantly improved high-definition visuals, updated cinematics, and reimagined mission sets.
Furthermore, the cinematics and story audio have also been remastered, complete with re-recorded dialogue from the original game's main voice actors.
Players will experience an enhanced gameplay experience with improved controls and the addition of nine new weapons from across the Halo franchise.
These weapons include the Energy Sword, Battle Rifle, and Needle Rifle.
New gameplay features include the ability to hijack enemy vehicles and pilot the Covenant Wraith tank.
The game also includes the "Skulls" feature, which can modify gameplay, providing optional modifiers for new tactics and increasing replayability.
Three New Missions
One of the main highlights of Halo: Campaign Evolved is the introduction of a new three-mission adventure titled "Operation: METEORITE."
These missions will feature Master Chief and Sergeant Johnson, set one year before the events of the main game.
In this covert mission, the two characters will infiltrate a mysterious Covenant ship.
It is known that at least one of these new missions will involve space combat, and it was developed in collaboration with Troy Denning, author of several Halo novels.
The Game Availability and Price
For fans who wish to pre-order, three editions are available: Standard, Premium, and Collector's.
The Standard Edition is priced at $49.99.
The Premium Edition, priced at $69.99, includes five days of early access, the Foundry Armory Pack (containing the classic Mark V Mjolnir Master Chief skin and weapon skins), the Alpha Halo Armory Pack (with five Master Chief Armor skins and six weapon skins), the Art of Halo: Campaign Evolved Digital Artbook, and the Halo: Hungry Buzzards digital short story.
The $199.99 Collector's Edition offers all the Premium Edition content, plus a 12-inch Master Chief statue from Dark Horse, a light-up Cortana chip, a physical copy of the reimagined original game manual, a steelbook, art prints, and a physical game disc (except for the PC version).
Pre-orders of any edition will receive a bonus Foundry Armory Pack.
Halo: Campaign Evolved will also be available on launch day one through Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass.
