Kelly Clarkson's decision

Through a post on Instagram, the "Since U Been Gone" singer stated that the rehearsals leading up to the show had drained her energy. She also canceled the show for the following week.

"We've been working 24/7 to make Studio Sessions the most intimate and incredible experience with and for my amazing fans. I'm so grateful that you've been there for me and I'm so sad to have to postpone Opening at Caesars tonight and tomorrow," Kelly Clarkson said in a statement.

"The preparation and rehearsals have taken their toll on me. I want this show to be perfect for all of you and I need to protect myself from doing serious damage, so I will be taking a break this weekend and next week so we can give you what you deserve," she added.

Clarkson said the decision was made so that what was done during the rehearsals could be displayed to the fullest in the show.

Fans response

"This show is truly amazing. The musicians and singers are amazing, and I want us all to start strong. I can't wait to come back next weekend and show you all what we've been working on," she said.

Clarkson's upload received mixed responses from fans. Some of them criticized because no apology was conveyed in the statement.

"The craziest part, there's not even an apology in this statement," wrote one fan in the comments column.

"How could the artist not know about this a few days before? Some fans said the (cancellation) notice was 30 minutes (before the show started). That's crazy," said another fan.

However, some fans continue to provide support for Clarkson.

"When Adele canceled her concert, we still had fun. Respect yourself for taking care of yourself," said another fan.
