Henry Cavill Refuses to Give Superman Advice to David Corenswet

Henry Cavill and Tyler Hoechlin chose to let their junior walk alone.

Liputan6.com, Jakarta David Corenswet was apparently not given tips or other advice from the senior ‘Superman’ before him, namely Henry Cavill and Tyler Hoechlin. The two seniors refused to give advice on how to become the Man of Steel.

Before actually playing Superman in the new superhero movie under the direction of James Gunn, Corenswet apparently exchanged letters with Cavill and Hoechlin.

In their conversation, the actor born July 8, 1993, Cavill, who played Clark Kent from 2013 to 2023, and Hoechlin, who played the role from 2016 to 2024 in the Supergirl series, chose to let their junior walk alone.

“I had the pleasure of exchanging letters with the previous two Supermen, Henry Cavill and Tyler Hoechlin,” Corenswet said during the Superman premiere gala last week.

“Both of them, interestingly, said in their own words, ‘I'm not going to try to give you any tips’,” Corenswet said as reported by the New York Post on Wednesday (July 7).

"And I think that's a very typical Superman thing. Superman doesn't give advice or dictate how other people should behave."

“They really encouraged me and said ‘have fun’ which I think is also a very Superman way,” David Corenswet said.
