Avengers: Doomsday MCU's 39th Movie Set to Release December 2026

Liputan6.com, Jakarta The movie Avengers: Doomsday is scheduled to hit US theaters on December 18, 2026. This release date is the result of several delays, previously planned for May 2, 2025 and then May 1, 2026. These delays were made to ensure better production completion.

The film is part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), being the 39th film and the fifth film in the Avengers series after Avengers: Endgame which was released in 2019. Avengers: Doomsday is part of the highly anticipated Phase Six of the MCU.

The film's director is the Russo brothers, who previously directed Avengers: Endgame. The movie script is written by Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely, who also have experience in previous Marvel projects.

The film will feature many actors from previous MCU films, including Robert Downey Jr. who returns as the main villain, Doctor Doom.
