Liputan6.com, Jakarta Miley Cyrus admits that she has no desire to go on a concert tour, even though her ninth studio album, "Something Beautiful", was only released at the end of May - the follow-up to "Endless Summer Vacation", which was released in 2023.
In a recent interview with Good Morning America, the 32-year-old singer explained that she feels increasingly reluctant to go on tour. This is due to the negative effect it has on her mental health.
"I do have the physical ability and opportunity to tour. I wish I had that desire, but I don't," Cyrus said.

"I also don't think there is an infrastructure that supports artists. Artists like Prince, who is not here today, live a very intense lifestyle. You're on tour, and it's hard to stay sober on tour, which is a very important pillar of stability in my life. It's not just a loss of life, it's a loss of mind."
Maintain mental health
Cyrus continued, it was very difficult for her to maintain her mental health when she had to meet so many people during the tour.
"Everything I've created wouldn't be possible without the way I think. I think it's very difficult to maintain mental health. There are thousands of people screaming at you. You feel a lot of love, then you're completely destroyed at the end of the show," she says. "You start to think one person who loves you is not enough. There has to be 10,000. There has to be 80,000."
This isn't the first time Cyrus has spoken openly about the impact touring has had on her. In 2023, she said she had grappled with the idea of being on the road for years, and realized it wasn't healthy for her.
"What people don't really understand about touring, is that the show is only 90 minutes, but that's your life... If you're performing with a certain intensity and excellence, there has to be a balanced recovery and rest period," Cyrus said at the time.
"There's a level of ego that has to come into play, which I think is overused on tour and once that ego kicks in, it's hard to turn it off. And I think when you train your ego every night to be active, that's the hardest switch for me to turn off."
She continued, "It takes away my humanity and connection. And without my humanity and connection, I can't be a songwriter, which is my priority."
