As reported by Fox56 News, the missing 10-year-old boy’s body was found in a shallow grave after nearly a week of searching.
He was reported missing on Wednesday, Aug. 6, and was believed to have disappeared overnight, wearing blue “Sonic the Hedgehog” pajamas.

The near week-long search for the missing boy came to an end on Tuesday, Aug. 12.
The tragedy deepened with the arrest of Jayden's mother, Felicia Gross (33), who now faces a series of serious charges.
The Disappearance of Jayden Spicer and the Search Efforts
Jayden Spicer, a 10-year-old boy, was last seen on August 5th at his home on Panbowl Branch Road in Jackson, Kentucky.
He was reported missing on the morning of August 6th, around 9:30 a.m., after allegedly leaving his home the night before or early the following morning.
Upon receiving the report, the Kentucky State Police (KSP) immediately began an investigation and launched a massive search effort.
The search team utilized a variety of advanced resources, including aircraft, drones, K-9 units, sonar, and involved extensive ground teams from various agencies and volunteers.
On August 8th, the KSP announced an expansion of the search area after the priority areas had been thoroughly searched.

Discovery of the Body and Development of the Legal Case
The long search ended with the discovery of Jayden Spicer's body on Tuesday, August 12, after a week-long intensive search in Breathitt County.
Jayden's family, including his aunt Samantha Brunty, confirmed the tragic discovery, which was later confirmed by authorities.
Jayden's body was found buried in a remote area off Canoe Road, approximately 19 miles (about a 30-minute drive) from his home.
At 3 p.m., Jayden's body was recovered and pronounced dead at the scene.
In connection with this discovery, Jayden's mother, 33-year-old Felicia Gross, has been arrested and charged with several serious charges.
These charges include manslaughter, abuse of a corpse, tampering with physical evidence, and false reporting of an incident, according to the police state.
“While this is not the outcome that we had hoped for, we certainly are grateful that we were able to bring him out of the woods today,” Miranda King, commonwealth’s attorney, said in a Tuesday night media briefing.
Authorities stated that the investigation has shifted from a missing person case to a criminal investigation, and Jayden's body has been taken to the medical examiner's office in Frankfort for an autopsy to determine the exact cause of death.

Court records indicate that Jayden's mother had prior involvement with Child Protective Services, including a conviction for misdemeanor endangering the welfare of a child in 2015.

The community raised over $3,000, and a Kentucky priest, Father Jim Sichko, offered to pay an additional $2,000 for Jayden’s safe return.
It’s unclear if anyone will receive the reward money or where the information leading investigators to Jayden came from.
