The 47-year-old passed away on Monday, August 18, after two weeks in intensive care in the hospital.

The passing of the figure known for his thick beard and comedic reactions has left millions of his followers deeply saddened.

The sad news was first reported by Entertainment Tonight and confirmed through a GoFundMe post created by a close friend.

John Crawley, who had millions of followers across multiple platforms, was widely known for his entertaining and unique content.

He was the primary breadwinner for his family and lacked health insurance, sparking fundraising for his medical and funeral expenses.

“I’m really sorry to tell everyone the bad news but Pimpmunkx (KingBeardx) passed away yesterday,” Anthony Caruso, Crawley’s friend and former podcast co-host said.

“Thank you to everyone that has supported the fundraiser so far.”

“His mother says told me to thank you all,” he added.

“The fundraiser will continue to go on to support fundraising a funeral/helping John’s mother.”

According to reports from New York Post, Crawley, who garnered over 3.5 million followers across TikTok and Instagram, went to North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo, Mississippi, earlier this month because he was struggling to breathe.

His health deteriorated after he complained of difficulty breathing, which required hospitalization about two weeks before his death.

During his treatment, Crawley's condition was reported to be "quite unstable," and he was placed in the intensive care unit.

The GoFundMe post was initially created to help raise funds for John's medical expenses, as he had no health insurance and was the primary breadwinner for his family.

“John is the main breadwinner for his family, and unfortunately, he doesn’t have medical insurance,” Caruso explained roughly two weeks before Crawley’s shocking death.

“His condition is quite unstable, and we’re all worried about him.”

Crawley’s obituary on Glenfield Funeral Home’s website confirmed that the beloved social media personality passed away on Aug. 18 at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo.

He has amassed over 3 million followers across various platforms, including 2.5 million on TikTok alone.
