Lil Nas X Arrested and Hospitalized Due to Alleged Overdose

The incident occurred after officers responded to a report of a man walking naked in a public area.

The incident involving Lil Nas X took place at approximately 5:50 a.m. local time in the Studio City area.

According to initial reports, Lil Nas X allegedly attacked officers who attempted to approach him, which led to his arrest.

He was then immediately taken to a nearby hospital for medical treatment for a suspected overdose.

On the morning of August 21, 2025, Los Angeles police received a report of a man walking naked on Ventura Boulevard and Vineland Avenue.

LAPD officers immediately responded to the call and found 26-year-old rapper Lil Nas X walking along the usually busy street.

He was seen wearing only white underwear and cowboy boots.

Video circulating on social media showed Lil Nas X speaking incoherently, occasionally pointing at the camera, and even placing an orange traffic cone on his head.

Upon officers' arrival at the scene, Lil Nas X allegedly resisted and assaulted them.

As a result, he was immediately detained and taken into custody by police.

“Upon arrival the suspect charged at officers and was taken into custody. He was transported to a local hospital for a possible overdose and placed under arrest for battery on a police officer,” public information officer Charles Miller said.

Following the arrest, police took Lil Nas X to a local hospital after the rapper had suffered a possible overdose.

After several hours of hospital treatment, Lil Nas X was declared stable enough to be transferred.

He was then taken to the Van Nuys jail, where he was booked on a misdemeanor charge.

The charges against him were assault on a police officer and obstruction of duty.

This incident is not the first time Lil Nas X has faced public health issues.

Earlier this year, he revealed in a now-expired Instagram Story that he was "losing control" of the right side of his face.

Montero Lamar Hill, also known as Lil Nas X, became the first openly gay man to receive a Country Music Association award after winning with his song "Old Town Road" in 2019.

The song also won two Grammys and broke the record for the longest-running number one song on the Billboard Hot 100, spending 17 weeks at the top of the chart.

The singer has courted controversy throughout his career, with conservatives in the US calling the music video for his hit single "Montero (Call Me By Your Name)" "depraved" and "evil."

The singer responded with a fake apology video on YouTube, which cut out Montero's famous lapdancing scene, and wrote on Twitter that he wanted his haters' tears to "fill his Grammy cup."
