Woman Loses $800K Disability Case After Photos of Her Winning Tree-Throwing Competition

Liputan6.com, Jakarta In Ireland, a woman lost over $800,000 in a court case. That's because of a photo of her throwing a Christmas tree in a contest. In that contest, she won. Kamila Grabska, 36, took legal action against an insurance company called RSA Insurance in Ireland. 

She said a car accident in 2017 caused severe pain in her neck and back. According to the Irish Independent, this made it difficult for her to work for five years.

Grabska is a mother of two from Ennis in County Clare. She said the accident happened when someone hit her car from behind. She stated it made it difficult for her to hold her children and do housework.

She stopped working soon after the accident. This woman got money for being disabled. According to the Telegraph, she also said she lost more than $500,000 in past and future pay.

But now, she risked losing money. Photos of her taking part in the competition were spread. The competition is to throw a large Christmas tree as far as possible.

"The judge said the photos showed her throwing a large real Christmas tree in a fast ran. I think she overstated her claim. So, I will dismiss the case," said the judge, as reported by the Irish Independent.

Grabska said in court that she did not fake her injuries. She just wants to live a normal life, according to the Telegraph. Fox News Digital media tried to contact Grabska's lawyers, but they did not immediately respond.
