Barcelona Players' Key Role
In this match, Barcelona played without their star winger, Lamine Yamal, who was suffering from a groin injury.
Coach Hansi Flick had criticized the Spanish national team for playing Yamal twice despite his injury problems during World Cup qualifying.
Raphinha, who started the match on the bench due to disciplinary issues after arriving late for training, put in a brilliant performance and scored two crucial goals after coming on in the second half.
Marcus Rashford and Ferran Torres also played crucial roles, playing aggressively up front, with Rashford even providing an assist for Raphinha's goal.
This victory brought Barcelona to 10 points from four matches and places them in second place in the La Liga standings, just two points behind leaders Real Madrid.
Meanwhile, Valencia C.F. has had to face the bitter reality of dropping to 15th place.
