Victim Identification: 15-year-old Celeste Rivas Hernandez

The discovery of Celeste Rivas Hernandez's body began with a report from a Hollywood Towing employee who noticed a foul odor coming from an impounded Tesla.

The vehicle had been abandoned on a street in the Hollywood Hills for weeks before being towed.

Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) officers arrived at the scene and found the body wrapped in a bag in the trunk of the car.

The body's advanced state of decomposition made initial identification difficult, but it was eventually confirmed as Celeste Rivas Hernandez.

Celeste had been reported missing for over a year, in April 2024.

Her family and authorities had been searching for her until this sad news arrived.

The Riverside County Sheriff’s Office said in a statement Tuesday that it has confirmed with "the Los Angeles Police Department that Celeste Rivas Hernandez has been identified as the juvenile who was reported missing from Lake Elsinore."

Is D4vd Officially Involved?

The Tesla in which the body was found was registered to David Anthony Burke, also known as the singer d4vd.

Representatives for d4vd have stated that the singer is fully cooperating with authorities in the ongoing investigation.

D4vd was also forced to cancel a show in Seattle and was removed from marketing campaigns by major brands like Crocs and Hollister.

In fact, singer Kali Uchis even announced she would be pulling her collaboration with d4vd, titled "Crashing," after the news broke.

The swift reaction from the entertainment industry demonstrates the serious implications of the discovery of the body for d4vd's image and career.

On Going Investigation

The cause of Celeste Rivas Hernandez's death remains pending, waiting further investigation by authorities.

The LAPD confirmed that they have not classified the death as a crime and have not named d4vd as a suspect or person of interest in the case.

One striking detail is the "Shhh..." tattoo on Celeste's right index finger, which d4vd also had.

However, this tattoo is not unique and is also seen on other celebrities like Rihanna and Lindsay Lohan, making it insufficient evidence.

Celeste's mother also revealed that her daughter had a boyfriend named David, although she had never met him.

Furthermore, other reports suggest that d4vd had been seen in the area where Celeste lived before her disappearance in 2024.

Investigators are currently investigating all of these clues to determine how Celeste's body ended up in the Tesla.
