This latest season will return viewers to the mysterious and deadly world of Borderland, continuing the story of Arisu and Usagi after the cliffhanger ending of the previous season.

This confirmation of a third season comes almost three years after the second season's release in December 2022.

Alice in Borderland Season 3 has been confirmed and is scheduled for a global release on Netflix on September 25, 2025.

This release marks the return of the popular series after a nearly three-year hiatus since the second season premiered in December 2022.

Season 3 of the "Alice in Borderland" premiered on Thursday, Sept. 25, at 3:00 a.m. ET.

All six episodes are currently on the streaming platform.

The second season of Alice in Borderland ended with a shocking cliffhanger, with Arisu and Usagi successfully returning to the real world.

However, the appearance of the Joker card at the end of the story hints that the game isn't completely over, leaving viewers with many questions.

Before diving into Alice in Borderland Season 3, it's important to revisit Arisu's journey in the previous two seasons.

Ryohei Arisu, a directionless gamer, suddenly finds himself with his friends in a deserted and mysterious Tokyo known as Borderland.

To survive, they are forced to play a deadly game involving playing cards.

The suit of the card determines the nature of the game: clubs demand teamwork, hearts involve betrayal and emotional manipulation, spades test physical ability, and diamonds focus on intelligence.

Arisu experiences a profound loss when his best friends, Chota and Karube, sacrifice themselves in a brutal game of "Seven of Hearts."

After losing his friends, Arisu meets Usagi, a skilled mountain climber, and they form a strong alliance.

At the end of the second season, it is revealed that Borderland is a near-death experience experienced by everyone near Shibuya Station when the meteorite struck.

Although Arisu and Usagi return to the real world with no memory of the game, the appearance of the Joker card at the end of the second season suggests that the threat of Borderland is not completely gone, and their adventures will continue in Alice in Borderland Season 3.

The new season's story will move forward, showing Arisu and Usagi now happily married in the real world.

However, their happiness is short-lived, as Usagi is kidnapped, and Arisu must return to Borderland to rescue her.

The Joker card will be a central element, introducing new challenges and unsolved mysteries, and suggesting that the line between reality and Borderland may not be as clear as it seems.

Given that the first two seasons adapted the entire original manga, Alice in Borderland Season 3 will feature an original story.
