Alex Pereira Takes Light Heavyweight Title from Ankalaev at UFC 320!

Alex Pereira dominated at UFC 320, reclaiming the light heavyweight title from Magomed Ankalaev via first-round TKO.

In the highly anticipated main event, Pereira defeated Magomed Ankalaev via Technical Knockout (TKO) in the first round in just 1 minute and 20 seconds.

The bout took place at T-Mobile Arena in Paradise, Nevada, USA, on October 4, 2025.

This result at UFC 320 was sweet revenge for Pereira after his loss to Ankalaev at UFC 313 on March 8.

"Vengeance is never a good thing. I told everyone I wasn't in a good position last time but no-one believed it, tonight you saw it," Pereira said after his win.

Pereira Reclaims Title at UFC 320

The main event of UFC 320 show the reunion of reigning UFC light heavyweight champion Magomed Ankalaev with former champion Alex Pereira.

This was a highly anticipated rematch after Ankalaev had previously won the title from Pereira via unanimous decision at UFC 313.

However, in this second encounter, Alex Pereira was dominant from the start.

He quickly approached Ankalaev and launched an overhand right that landed decisively on his opponent, which panicked Ankalaev who attempted a takedown.

Pereira easily performed the takedown attempt and then hit Ankalaev with punches and elbows.

This barrage of attacks forced referee Herb Dean to stop the fight at 1:20 of the first round, awarding Pereira the TKO victory.

After his victory, Pereira revealed that he wasn't in top condition during the first fight at UFC 313.

"It didn't surprise me, I saw it in the first fight. I don't like to make excuses but I wasn't well that night."

UFC 320: Location and Schedule Shift

UFC 320, titled "Ankalaev vs. Pereira 2," is one of the biggest mixed martial arts events produced by the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC).

The event is scheduled for October 4, 2025, at the magnificent T-Mobile Arena in Paradise, Nevada, part of the Las Vegas Valley, United States.

The event was originally scheduled to be held in Guadalajara, Mexico, on September 13 as the third "Noche UFC" event.

However, due to construction delays at the Guadalajara Arena, those plans were canceled.

The promoter then announced the event's move to Las Vegas and moved it to October.
