Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 1: Pacific Break Officially Launches, Featuring a New Map and Iconic Collaborations

Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 1, known as "Pacific Break," officially launched on Saturday, November 29, 2025.

This new season features a Hollywood and West Coast theme, heavily inspired by iconic cities like Los Angeles, Las Vegas, and Area 51.

Players will be greeted with an entirely new island, featuring a vibrant and dynamic West Coast aesthetic.

The new map introduces several must-explore points of interest (POIs).

These include Battlewood Boulevard with its iconic Hollywood sign, the Las Vegas-themed Sandy Strip, and Wonkeeland, an amusement park with roller coasters.

Additionally, Innoloop Labs, a mysterious location resembling Area 51, is located in the center of the map, adding an element of intrigue to the game.

The map's geography has also undergone significant changes, with a vast desert dominating the game and the first four-lane highway in Fortnite.

Some locations, like Painted Palms, may even be affected by the Zero Point anomaly, promising dynamic changes as the season progresses.

The map is also expected to change during Winterfest, with some areas covered in snow, providing a distinct visual experience.

The Fortnite experience in Chapter 7 Season 1 has undergone a major overhaul, starting with how players descend onto the island.

The Battle Bus is no longer used; instead, players will "storm surf," or ride tsunami waves, to glide from the edge of the storm to the island.

Wingsuits allow players to glide through the air, providing greater freedom of movement over vast terrain.

Hot Air Balloons can be used for more relaxed travel or as strategic sniper positions.

Additionally, Drivable Reboot Vans are now available, allowing players to move the reboot van to a safer location to revive teammates.

The Self-Revive Device feature has also been introduced, allowing players to revive themselves without the assistance of teammates.

The "Be the Boss" mechanic is a highlight, where defeating certain NPCs transforms players into that character, granting full health/shields, unlimited energy, unique abilities, and mythic weapons.

Anomalies/Rift Anomalies can also trigger unique effects during the Storm phase, such as extra care packages or match-wide effects like Gold Rush, which makes axes faster and broken items generate gold.

Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 1 brings a refreshed loot pool with a variety of new weapons ready for players to use.

Some of these include the Enforcer AR and Deadeye AR assault rifles, the Iron Pump Shotgun and Twin Hammer Shotguns, and the Vengeful Sniper Rifle.

For close-quarters combat, the Holo Rush SMG and Dual Micro SMGs are available, as well as the versatile Tactical Pistol.In addition to conventional weapons, this season also introduces unique special weapons.

There's the Ark Lightning Gun, which can channel electricity, and the Forbidden Vow Blade, a sword with high mobility.

Even Hanzo's sword from the legendary Kill Bill films is featured as a mythic weapon.

These iconic collaborations aren't just limited to weapons; they also extend to the Battle Pass, which includes eight new skins.

Two of the most anticipated key collaborations are The Bride from Kill Bill and Marty McFly from Back to the Future.

Additionally, the Battle Pass also features four original Fortnite characters, a lion man, and a new version of Dark Voyager.

Other collaborations also liven up the season, including BLACKPINK's Lisa headlining the Fortnite Festival, as well as appearances by Godzilla, King Kong, Iron Man, and Homer Simpson in the captivating "Zero Hour" event.

The "Zero Hour" update refers to a live event that serves as a bridge between Fortnite Chapter 6 and Chapter 7 Season 1.

The event takes place on Saturday, November 29, 2025, at 2:00 PM ET, with a dedicated lobby opening approximately 40 minutes earlier.

As a one-time, non-repeatable event, players are advised to join early to avoid server issues and long queues.

The "Zero Hour" storyline features an epic battle against the "Dark Presence," an evil force that threatens reality.

Key characters like Jones and Hope summon powerful beings from various realities using the Rift Device.

They return to the Chapter 6 island alongside heroes from various universes, including Godzilla, King Kong, Iron Man, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, the Invincibles, and Homer Simpson, to confront the threat.

This event has had a significant impact on the Fortnite map, dramatically altering or even completely erasing the Chapter 6 island to make way for the new Chapter 7 island.

Immediately after “Zero Hour” ends, Fortnite servers will experience a few hours of downtime to implement the Chapter 7 changes.
