Liputan6.com, Jakarta - The highly anticipated PlayStation State of Play event successfully took place on February 12, 2026, delivering a series of groundbreaking announcements across the gaming world.
The over 60-minute broadcast provided PlayStation with a platform to showcase over 30 new game titles from PlayStation Studios, third-party developers, and independent studios.
The event is a video program produced by Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) showcasing upcoming games for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, PlayStation VR, and PlayStation VR2.

Iconic Franchise Revival and a Long-Awaited Sequel
One of the main highlights of the PlayStation State of Play Announcements was a double announcement from Santa Monica Studio regarding the God of War franchise.
Furthermore, Santa Monica Studio collaborated with Mega Cat Studios to release a 2D action platformer titled God of War: Sons of Sparta.
Konami also confirmed Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 2, which will bring remastered versions of Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots, Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker, and Metal Gear Solid: Ghost of Babel to PS5 on August 27, 2026.
Castlevania: Belmont's Curse, developed by the team behind Dead Cells and The Rogue Prince of Persia, and is scheduled for release in 2026.
A sequel to the popular Kena: Bridge of Spirits (2021), Kena: Scars of Kosmora, was also announced with stunning visuals and animation from Ember Lab, and will release in 2026.
Finally, Legacy of Kain: Defiance Remastered will release on March 3, 2026, with HD visuals and enhanced controls, while the new Legacy of Kain: Ascendance, a retro pixelated sidescroller platformer, will follow on March 31, 2026.

New Titles with Action and Adventure
Saber Interactive announces game development The untitled new John Wick game allows players to take on the role of Baba Yaga himself.
A new story trailer for 007: First Light was also shown, providing a deeper look at the origins of IO Interactive's James Bond, with a release date of May 2026.
Bungie is introducing an update to its extraction shooter, Marathon, with an open preview weekend starting February 26, 2026, ahead of its full release on March 5, 2026.
Meanwhile, Housemarque's Saros, billed as a spiritual successor to Returnal, showcased a new gameplay trailer featuring a permanent progression system and is scheduled for release on April 30, 2026.
Star Wars fans also got some good news with a gameplay trailer for Star Wars: Galactic Racer, a game inspired by Burnout and Podracing, set for release in 2026.
From Tenchu veterans comes a new stealth ninja game, Yakoh Shinobi Ops, slated for release in 2027.
Other Games Announcements
Ubisoft celebrated the 30th anniversary of their iconic character by announcing Rayman: 30th Anniversary Edition, features five different versions of the original Rayman, including a playable prototype, and was released on February 13, 2026.
Koei Tecmo is also not far behind, with Dead or Alive 6: Last Round due for release on PS5 on June 25, 2026, as the "definitive version" of Dead or Alive 6, and a new Dead or Alive game is also in early development.
Capcom announced a release date for Pragmata of April 24, 2026 and the final gameplay trailer for Resident Evil Requiem was also shown.
Konami also released the 2D puzzle platformer Darwin's Paradox on April 2, 2026, complete with a playable demo.
For superhero fighting fans, MARVEL Tōkon: Fighting Souls will be released on PS5 and PC on August 6, 2026, with a new trailer showcasing Magik, Wolverine, and Danger as additions to the roster.
In addition to the game announcement, PlayStation also confirmed that Marvel's Spider-Man 2 will be available in the PS Plus Game Catalog for Extra subscribers starting February 17, 2026.
Other games announced at the event included 4: Loop (a four-player co-op game from Bad Robot Games), Control Resonant, Crimson Moon, Brigandine Abyss, Rev.
