Minimalist Design for Holistic Monitoring
The Fitbit Air is designed with a "screenless" philosophy to reduce distractions and promote passive health monitoring.
The device is shaped like a small, lightweight pebble, making it the smallest Fitbit tracker to date.
Weighing approximately 12 grams (including the strap) and measuring 34.9 x 17 x 8.3 mm, the Fitbit Air is extremely comfortable to wear all day and night, barely noticeable on the wrist.
The primary focus of this screenless design is to shift user interaction from the physical device to the centralized Google Health app.
All data collected by the Fitbit Air will automatically sync to the Google Health app, where users can review their health metrics, track progress, and receive personalized recommendations.
Existing Fitbit apps will automatically update to the Google Health app starting May 19, 2026.
This new app will serve as a unified health data hub, consolidating information from wearables, Apple Health, Health Connect, and even the user's medical records into one organized interface.
The Fitbit Air is also designed to unlock the full potential of Google Health Coach, an advanced AI assistant.

Comprehensive Health Features
Despite the lack of a display, the Fitbit Air is equipped with a suite of advanced health and fitness tracking features.
The device features an optical heart rate sensor that enables 24/7 heart rate monitoring, including Afib alerts for heart rhythm monitoring, as well as SpO2 (blood oxygen saturation) measurements.
Resting heart rate and heart rate variability (HRV) data are also provided for more in-depth health analysis.
Furthermore, the Fitbit Air offers comprehensive advanced sleep tracking.
Users can obtain in-depth analysis of their sleep stages and duration, as well as a daily sleep score that helps understand the quality of their rest.
A Smart Wake alarm feature is also included, designed to wake users at the optimal time in their sleep cycle, so they wake up feeling more refreshed.
This fitness tracker also automatically detects and syncs exercise activity with the Google Health app, tracking basics like distance traveled and steps.
Water resistance up to 50 meters adds to the device's practicality for a variety of activities.
Other sensors such as a 3-axis accelerometer + gyroscope, red and infrared sensors for SpO2, a skin temperature sensor, and a vibration motor for alarms further complement the Fitbit Air's monitoring capabilities.
Affordable Price and Availability of the Fitbit Air
The Fitbit Air is competitively priced at $99.99.
Pre-orders for the device began on May 7, 2026.
Shipping and in-store availability are scheduled to begin on May 26, 2026.
Buyers who pre-order the Fitbit Air will receive a three-month trial of Google Health Premium and a free $35 Google Store credit.
Additionally, a variety of accessory bands are available for purchase separately starting at $34.99.
These include the Performance Loop Band, Active Band, and Elevated Modern Band, allowing users to customize the look of the Fitbit Air to suit their personal style.
