Liputan6.com, Jakarta The popular teen drama series, Euphoria, has begun filming its third season in February 2025.
Shooting on Season 3 continues in Los Angeles thanks in part to a $19.4M California tax credit.
Euphoria Season 3 will premiere in 2026, four years after the show’s Season 2 run, and is expected to be the conclusion of the series.

“We’ve talked about it, I don’t think anything is over until it’s over, but it’s been discussed that this is the end,” shared HBO’s head of drama Francesca Orsi in February, ahead of her first set visit.
She added, “I think you will be very satisfied with this season, and how we bring each of the characters’ whole narrative.”
Time Set and New Themes
Euphoria Season 3 will feature a drastic narrative shift with a time jump approximately five years after the events of the second season.
This time jump will take the characters beyond their high school environment and into adulthood.
Sam Levinson, the series' creator, described the third season as a "film noir."
He plans to explore the theme of "what it means to be a principled individual in a corrupt world."
This promises a more mature and complex storyline.
Rue's storyline, played by Zendaya, will focus on her journey to adulthood and her struggle to stay sober.
Zendaya herself expressed her hope that Rue finds "a little happiness and a little joy" along the way.
The season will consist of eight episodes, and Zendaya will also direct one of the episodes.

Fans will be pleased to know that most of the main cast will return for Euphoria Season 3.
Zendaya as Rue Bennett, Hunter Schafer as Jules Vaughn, Jacob Elordi as Nate Jacobs, Sydney Sweeney as Cassie Howard, and Alexa Demie as Maddy Perez are all confirmed to return.
Other returning cast members include Maude Apatow (Lexi Howard), Eric Dane (Cal Jacobs), Colman Domingo (Ali), Dominic Fike (Elliot), Nika King (Leslie Bennett), Martha Kelly (Laurie), Chloe Cherry (Faye), as well as Alanna Ubach, Daeg Faerch, Melvin Bonez Estes, Paula Marshall, Sophia Rose Wilson, and Zak Steiner.
The third season will also introduce 18 exciting new characters.
Some of the big names joining the cast include Natasha Lyonne, Danielle Deadwyler, Trisha Paytas, Eli Roth, Sharon Stone, Toby Wallace, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Rosalía, Marshawn Lynch, and Asante Blackk.
While many familiar faces will return, there are a few characters who will not continue their journeys in Euphoria Season 3.
Barbie Ferreira, who plays Kat, has announced her departure from the series in 2022.
Furthermore, Austin Abrams and Algee Smith, who play Ethan and Chris, respectively, are not included in the list of returning cast members.
Production Delays and Challenges
The production of Euphoria Season 3 has faced several significant delays since the second season concluded.
One major factor was the Hollywood labor strike that lasted throughout 2023, halting many production projects.
Furthermore, the busy schedules of the increasingly popular main cast have also presented challenges.
Stars like Zendaya, Jacob Elordi, and Sydney Sweeney now have other film and series projects lined up.
Deep sorrow also gripped the production team with the passing of actor Angus Cloud, who played Fezco, in July 2023, as well as executive producer Kevin Turen.
