Liputan6.com, Jakarta The beloved sports comedy series, Chad Powers, is still awaiting the green light for a second season.
Despite becoming a phenomenon and peaking in popularity on Disney+ and Hulu, there has been no official announcement from either platform regarding a renewal for Chad Powers Season 2.
As of October 28, 2025, neither Hulu nor Disney have officially renewed or canceled the series.

Even so, the creators, including showrunner Michael Waldron and lead star Glen Powell, have expressed their enthusiasm for continuing the story.
They even have a well-developed storyline planned, including a cliffhanger ending to the first season that sets up the next plot.
Chad Powers Season 2 Renewal Status
To date, Chad Powers Season 2 has not received official confirmation from Hulu or Disney.
This situation occurs despite the series having successfully attracted a large audience and become a hit on both streaming platforms.
Glen Powell himself celebrated the series' success, reaching the number one spot on Disney+ and Hulu in early October.
The final episode of the first season, which aired on October 28, 2025, ended with a shocking cliffhanger.
This cliffhanger ending was designed to open up many new storylines, sending a strong signal from the creators that they have many ideas for the next season.
Showrunner Michael Waldron said in an interview with Deadline that if season 2 of the show were to continue, it would likely pick up right after season 1 ended, and would continue to follow the ripple effect that Russ/Chad has had on the world around him—like one of the greatest dramas in recent TV history.
"We always talk about Breaking Bad as a model —that kind of was just following this lie and all the destruction that it causes. This hidden identity of Walter White, following it pretty much in real time," he said.
"That’s really the story of Chad Powers is seeing him through this college football season."

Possible Release Schedule and Creators' Plans
While there has been no official update, speculation regarding the release schedule for Chad Powers Season 2 has been circulating.
Waldron continued to outline his hopes for Chad Powers' future in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, explaining that he and Powell both want to see this story through to completion, assuming Hulu gives them the opportunity to make more episodes.
"When you get to the end of the first season, it feels like we’re just getting started," he said.
"Ricky is now pulled into this alliance and now we can get into our Empire Strikes Back chapter of this trilogy. I hope we get to to keep it going."
Powell, who at one time was a student at the University of Texas at Austin and remains a huge fan of the school's athletics, said at a recent event that he hopes to film the show's second season at a Longhorns game in Austin.
“If we get a Season 2, which as long as the world begs for it and cheers as loud as we think they should, I will definitely be showing the Texas Longhorns," he said.
"The Catfish will definitely be playing the Longhorns somewhere in Season 2."
Potential Storylines and Cast for Season 2
The intentionally cliffhanger ending of the first season of Chad Powers opens up many storyline possibilities for Chad Powers Season 2.
If renewed, the second season will likely continue to focus on the trio of Ricky, Russ, and Danny.
They will work together to maintain the increasingly complex and challenging "Chad Powers" cover.
Michael Waldron explained that the new dynamic between Ricky, Russ, and Danny will be at the heart of the story.
"So it's him, Russ, and Danny running Chad Powers. And it's a really fun new dynamic. It's going to be a blast," Waldron said.
While not yet confirmed, the main cast from the first season is expected to return.
Glen Powell as Chad Powers/Russ Holliday, Perry Mattfeld as Ricky, Frankie Rodriguez as Danny, and Steve Zahn as Coach Hudson.
