The launch of the Mahindra XEV 9S will be a significant milestone for the company, as it will be Mahindra's first three-row EV SUV in India. It is designed to meet the needs of large families seeking a spacious and eco-friendly transportation solution.

The electric SUV will be built on the advanced INGLO Skateboard platform, the same architecture as other Mahindra electric models like the XEV 9e. This platform promises leading-edge safety standards, impressive range, and a thrilling driving experience for its users.

The Mahindra XEV 9S will be based on the INGLO Skateboard platform, an architecture specifically designed for electric vehicles. This platform underpins several Mahindra EV models, including the XEV 9e and BE 6, ensuring consistent quality and innovation.

The INGLO platform not only ensures high safety standards but also enables the efficient integration of battery and electric motor technologies. This contributes to the vehicle's impressive range and responsive and enjoyable driving performance.

The platform's flexibility allows Mahindra to develop a wide range of electric vehicles, from coupe SUVs to 7-passenger SUVs, while maintaining core characteristics such as energy efficiency and superior driving dynamics.

The Mahindra XEV 9S is expected to feature a futuristic and aerodynamic design, similar to the electric XUV700 prototype or the XEV 7e. Modern design elements such as connected LED daytime running lights and a closed grille will provide a distinctive and attractive appearance.

Design inspiration is also drawn heavily from the XEV 9e, which has a bold SUV coupe style. Exterior features such as projector headlamps with inverted L-shaped LED daytime running lights, an LED light bar across the fascia, and new front and rear bumpers are likely to be adopted.

The XEV 9e's dimensions, measuring 4,789 mm in length, 1,907 mm in width, and 1,694 mm in height with a wheelbase of 2,775 mm, provide an idea of ​​the XEV 9S's proportions. This design is not only aesthetically pleasing but also functional, promoting aerodynamics and efficiency.

While specific details of the Mahindra XEV 9S's powertrain have not yet been fully revealed, it is expected to be equipped with a large-capacity battery pack. Following Mahindra's new EV standards, the SUV is projected to offer a range of over 500 km on a single charge.

For reference, the Mahindra XEV 9e offers two battery pack options: 59 kWh and 79 kWh. With the 79 kWh battery, the XEV 9e is claimed to have a range of up to 656 km (MIDC), demonstrating the XEV 9S's excellent range potential.

In terms of performance, the XEV 9e is powered by an electric motor producing 282 bhp and 380 Nm of torque, enabling 0-100 km/h acceleration in approximately 6.7 to 6.8 seconds. DC fast charging of up to 140 kW or 180 kW allows for a 20-80% charge in 20 minutes.
