The Fierce Man City vs. Liverpool Match
The match between Manchester City and Liverpool immediately presented a high pressing game from the opening whistle.
Manchester City displayed their dominance in the first five minutes, capitalizing on Jeremy Doku's pace down the left flank, which repeatedly troubled the Liverpool defense.
A crucial moment happened in the 9th minute when Jeremy Doku was brought down in the penalty area by Liverpool goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili.
After a VAR review, the referee awarded City a penalty in the 11th minute, but Erling Haaland's effort was saved by Mamardashvili.
Haaland immediately made a goal in the 29th minute by scoring with a powerful header from Matheus Nunes' cross.
This was Haaland's 99th Premier League goal.
Liverpool had equalized through Virgil van Dijk, but the goal was disallowed for offside by VAR.
Manchester City ended the first half with a 2-0 lead thanks to Nico Gonzalez's goal in injury time, in the 45+3 minute, with a 20-yard shot that deflected off Van Dijk.

Entering the second half, Manchester City continued their attack.
Jeremy Doku, who had performed brilliantly throughout the match, extended City's lead to 3-0 in the 63rd minute.
This goal was a special achievement for Doku, as it came in his 100th appearance for the club.
Match statistics show that although Liverpool had a slight advantage in possession, with 50.7% compared to City's 49.3%, Manchester City's attack was far superior.
The Citizens had 14 shots, six of which were on target, resulting in three goals, while Liverpool only managed seven shots, one of which was on target.
This emphatic victory lifted Manchester City to second place in the Premier League standings with 22 points from 11 matches, just four points behind leaders Arsenal.
Meanwhile, this defeat leaves Liverpool stuck in eighth place with 18 points, below Manchester United.
"It's okay to lose to a club like Man City - it's a tough place to come. But to lose seven in 10 - five league losses already - it has to be a crisis for a club like Liverpool," says Roy Keane, a Sky Sport pundit.
"I thought Liverpool looked like a really weak team today," he added.

This match holds double significance for Manchester City, especially for manager Pep Guardiola.
This match marks Guardiola's 1,000th match as a professional manager, a remarkable achievement celebrated with a resounding victory over a fierce rival.
Going into this match, Manchester City had been in impressive form, winning their last two matches, 4-1 over Borussia Dortmund and 3-1 over Bournemouth, and scoring a total of 10 goals in their last three matches.
Liverpool also had the positive capital of a 1-0 victory over Real Madrid in the Champions League.
Although Liverpool had the better head-to-head record in recent meetings leading up to this match, unbeaten in their last four meetings and winning their last two in the 2024/2025 Premier League season, City's dominance at the Etihad Stadium was undeniable.
