The sloth is not only known as a slow-moving animal; this creature can also sleep for up to 20 hours a day. Sloth only moves when in desperate situations, such as during a forest fire or when there is a predator threat.

Koalas only stay awake for 2-6 hours per day. They use this time to eat, while the rest is dedicated to sleeping. These animals sleep so much because eucalyptus leaves, their main food, don't give them much energy. So koalas need to save their energy by sleeping most of the day.

Hippos also love to be lazy. One of the reasons is their extremely heavy weight. Not only do hippos sleep on land, they can also doze off in the water. Hippos only stay awake for 5 hours during the night to eat grass.

Pandas spend 10 hours a day sleeping. When they wake up, their only activity is eating bamboo. Pandas can eat bamboo for up to 14 hours a day because bamboo doesn't have many nutrients. After eating so much, pandas need to rest and sleep to digest their food.

This snake can sleep for up to 18 hours per day. Python doesn't need to eat often, so they spend most of their time resting. After swallowing a big animal, python can go without food for weeks or even months.
