The fifth and final season of the award-winning series is about to release, bringing viewers to the climax of the highly anticipated story.

This finale will not only be available on streaming platforms but will also offer a unique experience on the big screen.

Netflix has confirmed that the final season of "Stranger Things" will be split into three parts, with the final episode scheduled to air on December 31, 2025.

Excitingly, the final episode, titled "The Rightside Up," will have a limited run in select theaters in the United States and Canada.

Tickets for this historic event will go on sale on December 2, 2025.

The Awaited Finale: Netflix's Stranger Things: Theatrical Release

 

To cap off the Netflix series' journey in unforgettable fashion, the finale, titled "The Rightside Up," will receive a limited theatrical release.

The screening will take place in over 350 theaters across North America.

The theatrical release will begin on Wednesday, December 31, 2025, at 5 p.m. PT / 8 p.m. ET, coinciding with the global release of the finale on Netflix.

This means fans have the option to watch at home or join in this "shared cultural moment" in theaters without delay.

This limited run will continue until Thursday, January 1, 2026.

Tickets for this highly anticipated theatrical release will go on sale on December 2, 2025.

Fans in the United States can purchase tickets through the Regal website, while viewers in Canada can purchase them through the Cineplex network.

Season Five Details and Release Schedule

The fifth season, officially marketed as "Stranger Things 5."

The final season will consist of eight episodes, split into three parts, to ensure fans get the most out of every moment.

Script writing for the final season began on August 2, 2022.

The first part, or Volume 1, consisting of the first four episodes, is scheduled to premiere on November 26, 2025.

Volume 2, containing the next three episodes, will then be released on Christmas Day, December 25, 2025.

Each volume will premiere at 8 p.m. ET / 5 p.m. PT, ensuring fans in different time zones can access them simultaneously.

The first episode of the season is titled "Chapter One: The Crawl" and was written by the Duffer Brothers, who also serve as producers alongside Shawn Levy and Dan Cohen.
