Liputan6.com, Jakarta The Pokémon world has been excited again with the announcement of a new evolution, Mega Lucario Z, which will debut on December 10, 2025.

This character is included as part of the Mega Dimension DLC for Pokémon Legends: Z-A, available on the Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2.

Mega Lucario Z introduces the innovative "Z Mega Evolution" mechanic, allowing Pokémon to act more quickly upon receiving a trainer's command.

Pokémon Legends ZA players will experience a more dynamic battle experience, since the evolution offers not only speed but also exciting design changes and abilities.

"Z Mega Evolution" Launch Details and Mechanics

Mega Lucario Z: Design and Differences

Its design features an aura cloak that envelops its entire body, providing increased defense and agility, gives it a more formidable and dynamic impression.

This Pokémon is adorned with long fur around its head and waist, as well as a unique fan-shaped tail.

Parts of its body, such as the backs of its hands and shins, are reinforced with steel energy, allowing it to deliver devastating blows.

Mega Lucario Z stands 1.3 meters tall and weighs 49.4 kg.

The main difference lies in its use of aura; classic Mega Lucario concentrates its aura for a single powerful attack, while Mega Lucario Z spreads its aura throughout its body.

This increasing defense, agility, and allows for more versatile move execution, made Mega Lucario Z focuses more on defensive aspects than its standard form.

Mega Lucario Z appears to be inspired by Anubis, the Egyptian god of the underworld.

The new design removes Lucario's signature chest spikes and replaces it with a sleeker profile with a light blue hue adorned with a light brown fur coat.
