Anderson made this surprising confirmation in an exclusive interview with People magazine published on December 9, 2025.

In the interview, the 58-year-old actress revealed intimate details about her relationship with Neeson.

She emphasized that their feelings at the time were genuine and deep.

The relationship began after the two completed filming "The Naked Gun," not during production.

“Our assistants both came; even family stopped by.”  

The pair “went to dinner at a tiny French restaurant where he introduced me as the ‘future Mrs. Neeson,’ ” she continues.

They spent time in his garden, where, she says, “I tended to a rosebush overgrown with mint … I was happy to help, and he appreciated.”
