Liputan6.com, Jakarta - Euphoria Season 3 is set to premiere in April 2026, nearly four years after the second season concluded.
This latest season promises significant changes with a dramatic time jump, taking the main characters out of high school and into early adulthood.
The series, starring Zendaya as Rue Bennett, will explore the consequences of their past choices amidst a corrupt world.

Creator Sam Levinson describes the season as a "film noir" that will explore what it means to be a principled individual.
Production, which was delayed due to the Hollywood labor strike and the grief over the death of actor Angus Cloud (Fezco), and executive producer Kevin Turen, now has a clear shooting schedule, beginning in February 2025 and ending in November 2025.
Excitement for Euphoria Season 3 continues to grow after HBO released first-look photos showing the cast in more mature looks, offering a glimpse into the story's future direction.

In December 2025, HBO released first-look photos and a trailer for Euphoria Season 3 as part of their 2026 programming preview.
The trailer featured Zendaya (Rue) in a tense and dark situation, hinting at her continued struggles.
Other photos show Rue sitting in a church pew, Jules as an artist, Nate making burgers at home, and Lexi on set, all in their more mature roles.
HBO also released photos of each returning star with a line from the upcoming season, such as "It's important to have a moral code" for Maddy and "Life is precious" for Rue, hinting at the themes that will be explored.
In addition to the returning core cast, Euphoria Season 3 will also introduce a number of exciting new faces, including Rosalía, Trisha Paytas, Natasha Lyonne, Danielle Deadwyler, Eli Roth, Marshawn Lynch, Sam Trammell, and Sharon Stone as the showrunner who hires Lexi.
However, several cast members will not be returning, such as:
- Barbie Ferreira (Kat Hernandez) has announced her departure from the series.
- Angus Cloud (Fezco) passed away in July 2023.
- Storm Reid (Gia Bennett)
- Javon Walton (Ashtray)

Time Jump and Character Transformation
One of the most exciting elements of Euphoria Season 3 is the five-year time jump following the events of the second season.
This change will take the main characters out of high school and into their early adulthood, bypassing the college experience.
Creator Sam Levinson stated that this season will focus on life outside the "safety net" of school, exploring the adult consequences of the choices they have made.
Levinson also described the third season as a "film noir" that will explore "what it means to be a principled individual in a corrupt world."
Rue Bennett (Zendaya) will be found in Mexico, struggling to repay her debt to Laurie in "innovative" ways, while Zendaya hopes this season will explore Rue's journey toward healing and happiness.
Cassie Howard (Sydney Sweeney) and Nate Jacobs (Jacob Elordi) will be engaged and living in the suburbs, with Levinson confirming their wedding promises to be a "night to remember."
Cassie is obsessed with social media and envious of her old friends' lives.
Jules Vaughn (Hunter Schafer) will be in art school, worried about his future as a painter and trying to avoid responsibility.
Maddy Perez (Alexa Demie) works at a Hollywood talent agency and has her own "side hustle," while Lexi Howard (Maude Apatow) will be working as an assistant to the showrunner played by Sharon Stone.
Challenging Release and Production Schedule
Euphoria Season 3 is scheduled to premiere in April 2026, marking a nearly four-year hiatus since the second season concluded in early 2022.
This delay is not without reason; the series' production faced significant challenges, such as the 2023 Hollywood labor strike, which halted many projects in the entertainment industry.
Furthermore, the series was also struck by the loss of two key figures: Angus Cloud, who played the beloved character Fezco, in July 2023, and executive producer Kevin Turen.
Filming for Euphoria Season 3 is scheduled to begin in February 2025 and is expected to conclude in November 2025, as confirmed by Sydney Sweeney.
