Benedict's Intrigue and Search for Love
The fourth season of Bridgerton will exclusively focus on Benedict Bridgerton's love journey.
The story is inspired by Julia Quinn's novel "An Offer from a Gentleman," known for its Cinderella-like storyline.
In this narrative, viewers will be treated to classic elements such as hidden identities, class differences, and drama that transcends Regency society.
Benedict, known as an artist and a free spirit, will face challenges in finding the right partner.
Showrunner Jess Brownell explained that this season will explore the class dynamics between Benedict's privileged position and Sophie's life as a servant, bringing a new sensibility to the series.
The Bridgerton Season 4 trailer shows Benedict Bridgerton meeting a mysterious woman at a masquerade ball.
This woman, later revealed to be Sophie Beckett (played by Yerin Ha), is the illegitimate daughter of an earl living as a servant under a cruel stepmother.
Benedict is immediately captivated, calling her "the most fascinating person I've ever met."
However, in the tradition of Cinderella, Sophie runs away in the middle of the night without revealing her true identity, leaving only a glove as a clue.
The rest of the trailer shows Benedict embarking on an intense search to find his mysterious woman, while Sophie grapples with the decision of whether to reveal her true identity.
