Run Away: Netflix Releases New Thriller Series, Full of Mystery and Unexpected Twists

The story of 'Run Away' begins with Simon Greene's seemingly perfect life, complete with a loving wife and children, and a stable job.

However, his life is shattered when his eldest daughter, Paige, disappears and becomes involved with drugs.

After six months of exhausting searching, Simon finally finds Paige vulnerable in a city park.

Simon's attempt to bring Paige home culminates in a violent incident that is caught on video and goes viral.

Shortly afterward, Paige disappears again, and her boyfriend is found dead, making Simon the prime suspect.

His never-ending search for his daughter drags Simon into a dangerous underworld, where he must confront deep, potentially devastating family secrets.

Along the way, he is aided by private investigator Elena Ravenscroft, who also uncovers a series of connected murders.

'Run Away' is an eight-episode thriller miniseries adapted from Harlan Coben's 2019 novel.

Danny Brocklehurst developed and co-wrote the screenplay, alongside Tom Farrelly, Amanda Duke, and Charlotte Coben.

Directed by Nimer Rashed and Isher Sahota, the series is produced by Final Twist Productions and Quay Street Productions.

Although the original novel is set in New York, this Netflix adaptation moves the story to Northwest England, a pattern also seen in previous Coben adaptations such as 'Fool Me Once' and 'Stay Close'.
