Timeline and Main Conflicts in The Pitt Season 2
The Pitt Season 2 will take place approximately 10 months after the dramatic events of the first season, giving the characters time to process and deal with the consequences of the previous events.
The season will center on a single 15-hour shift that occurs over Independence Day weekend (the Fourth of July), a period known as one of the busiest in the ER due to fireworks-related incidents, parties, and other accidents.
The main plot will focus on Dr. Michael “Robby” Robinavitch (Noah Wyle) working his last shift before a sabbatical for a motorcycle trip.
Meanwhile, Dr. Frank Langdon (Patrick Ball) will return to the ER after undergoing rehabilitation for the drug problem revealed in the first season, seeking to improve himself and regain his mentor's respect.
Chief Nurse Dana Evans (Katherine LaNasa) will also continue to deal with the trauma of a violent patient incident in the first season.
New challenges arise when the ER is forced to operate analog due to a technology failure, forcing staff to revert to using faxes, clipboards, and procedures without the aid of digital cameras.
